Julie Callagee, Founder & President, has over 20 years of experience as a CPA in public practice and private industry and is a dedicated professional ready to partner with you to fill your finance and accounting needs.
As a consultant for Verne Global Julie is responsible for all aspects of financial planning, accounting and HR worldwide. Verne Global is a state-of-the-art data center campus in Iceland with offices in the US, the UK, Germany and Iceland. She has been with Verne since the beginning and was responsible for the legal and accounting formation of the entities in each country.
In a part time consultancy role, Julie was the CFO for Global Marine Energy Inc. She partnered with the CEO on strategic business management and was responsible for board and investor management and reporting. Global Marine Energy is an offshore renewable energy company specializing in power cable planning, installation and maintenance services.
Prior to founding this consulting venture, Julie was the International Controller for The MathWorks, Inc. responsible for business located in 11 countries throughout Europe, Asia and Australia.
Before joining MathWorks, Julie was the Controller for Lycos, where she was responsible for International accounting, financial operations, and the financial planning and analysis function. Additionally, Julie played a key role in the company’s numerous acquisitions and divestitures.
Previously, Julie worked as a Controller in the construction industry and as a financial analyst for Stanley Bostitch. She started her career as an auditor in public accounting.
Ms. Callagee, a certified public accountant, holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from Bryant College.
In 2013, Julie received a Certification in International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS) from the AICPA.
Julie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Julie serves as the Treasurer for the Canton Alliance for Public Education. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, kickboxing and Krav Maga.
